c. Affirm Resolution No. 2021-51, a Resolution of the City Council of the City of
Brawley, California Declaring a Need to Hold Council Meetings via
Teleconferencing pursuant to California Assembly Bill 361 and continue to
authorize the City to implement teleconference accessibility to conduct public
meetings.

5. REGULAR BUSINESS
a. Discussion and potential action to Approve request submitted by Imperial Valley
Beverages Inc. to authorize the sale of beer, wine and distilled spirits for
consumption off the premises in accordance to a Type 21 ABC license,
presented by Jimmy Duran, Chief of Police.
b. Discussion and potential action to Review and Approve the acceptance of the
Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDEFT) funds and the
acquisition of high-technology equipment to assist with Fentanyl investigations
and approve associated budget adjustments, presented by Jimmy Duran, Chief
of Police.
c. Discussion and potential action to Adopt Resolutions adopting 1.) Regulations for
candidates for elective office pertaining to candidate’s statements submitted to
the voters at an election to be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 and 2.) Policy
establishing procedures and criteria for indigent status determination as it
pertains to candidates during general and special elections, presented by Karla
Romero, Finance Director/City Treasurer.
d. Discussion and potential action to Approve the amendment of Brawley Municipal
Code Section 17.95-2 regarding the parking of trucks and vehicles with
hazardous materials prohibited from parking in residential areas, presented by
Andrea Montano, Planning Technician.
